A visual record of life in Jbaa al-Halāwa — the inauguration ceremonies, agricultural fairs, banquets and processions, and the everyday faces of a mountain village in Jabal Amel. Two hundred and nine photographs, organized into twelve chapters.

"The village remembers itself through these photographs — the celebrations that filled the squares, the harvests that filled the cellars, and the faces that filled the rooms. Each image is a small return of memory."
